Tutor Bio:
The classroom facilitates learning on a communal level. However, when students in the classroom are having difficulty grasping certain subjects introduced by the teacher, they feel lost in their studies and their overall confidence is significantly lowered. When children can master the art of learning in any field, their lives ahead will be filled with success and happiness. This is where I come in. My name is Lauren Gautschi and I am inspired to evoke a sense of confidence within children so they can fully absorb their teachers' lessons, essays, tests and homework. In my extensive work with children, I have been employed as a sailing coach, childcare specialist, academic interpreter, and local tutor for children ages 6-14.

I have been on the Dean's list for every semester that I have been enrolled in college, and I currently have a 3.85 GPA along with enrollments within two academic honor societies. I am most familiar with subjects in Mathematics and English, but have extensive knowledge within all subjects of primary schooling. As an In-Home Tutor, I will create a healthy environment for the student to learn with fast and fun ways of grasping subjects, close contact with the student to build an interpersonal relationship, and the motivation and support needed for building confidence. As a model student myself, one of my goals in tutoring is to be an inspiration to children so they in turn can master academic subjects to do well in school.

Academics are extremely important for personal and communal growth, as I have personally experienced in my 17 years experience as a student, but my ultimate goal is to teach the subjects so well, that the student will be able to take in subjects in a shorter amount of time to allow more time to accomplish his or her own personal goals outside of the academic setting. I will strive to show students that they too can master subjects they never thought they would be able to remotely understand. Everyone can learn: all one needs is focus, enthusiasm, the will ! to learn , and me as a guiding tutor.
