Salim Hijazi is a mechanical engineering graduate from Loyola Marymount University, who has been an in home tutor for 6 years. In home tutoring provides the one-on-one education that allows students to thrive. Salim understands that math can be a daunting task for kids, so he blends humor in his teaching style to keep the student interested and focused during the entire session. This technique has shown to be successful in getting the student to retain the newly learned information, as well as making the student enjoy the material. For the past 3 years, Salim has been tutoring students, ranging from 4th graders to seniors in high school, through his university.

Salim's high GPA as a mechanical engineer allowed him to join the Loyola Marymount University Science and Engineering Outreach Tutoring Program where he drove to various schools, for example Inglewood High School, to help 8th graders with high school applications and interview skills, as well as being a math tutor to any student at the school that wanted the help. Salim is primarily a local tutor, but is willing to drive out of his area if needed. Salim’s humor and people skills will make your child want him to come back, and the improvement in your child’s grades will make you want him to come back.
