After graduating from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies, I moved to Rome, where I owned and operated two language institutes for 17 years. I became a dual national (E.U./U.S.) in 2007 and moved back to the U.S. in 2012. I’m fluent in Italian and English, and speak French as well. I specialize in writing for all ages, Italian language, and GMAT test preparation, an exam on which I scored a 740 (97th percentile) myself. After returning to the United States, I received my MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. My strengths as a teacher lie in my ability to pinpoint possible sources of confusion, my engagement with the students, and my structured but very personable and humorous approach. I am passionate about learning, whether in the role of teacher or student. In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my friends and dog, love the arts (especially cinema), and am an avid reader. I also enjoy eating, but let others do the cooking.
