I am Italian; I was born in Ortona, Italy, and grew up there until I was eight years old. I studied theatre for one year at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, as well as at a three-year conservatory program at the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy. After completing my theatre studies, I attended UCLA where I received my BA in Comparative Literature. I have a deep passion for literature and theatre because I believe storytelling is an important and powerful art form. When I’m not tutoring, I’m spending time with my husband and my cute pup, Molly, and my family and friends.
My Teaching Experience
I’ve worked as a tutor at the Office of Special Services at Los Angeles City College, where I tutored students with cognitive and emotional disabilities, such as ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Executive Functioning Disorder, vision impairments, and other intellectual/developmental differences. My passion lies in teaching English from creative writing and reading comprehension to ESL and grammar.
My Teaching Style
As a tutor, my priority is to focus on the strengths of each student to build confidence in his or her intellectual abilities. Every person learns in different ways, and my goal as a tutor is to work with each student to find the best methods for them to learn. I hope I can help students find ways to enjoy learning!
