About Me

When I’m not daydreaming about a proper slice of New York City pizza, I can usually be found in a rehearsal room or studio creating art of some kind. After graduating from Yale University, working at the Metropolitan Opera for four years, and making lots of funky, downtown theater, I left my hometown Brooklyn (born and raised, baby!) and moved to Los Angeles to attend the California Institute of the Arts. After three years in LA, I must grudgingly admit that the Mexican food is truly unrivaled.

My Teaching Experience

I have over a decade of teaching experience and have also worked as an Arts Integration specialist, designing and implementing innovative new cross-curricular approaches to STEM, ESL, Social Studies, and Literature content. Working with students ages 4-17 in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and New Haven has given me tremendous insight into the many different ways students learn. I have also worked extensively with students struggling to manage anxiety and stress, giving them the tools necessary to harness their focus and achieve outstanding results.

My Teaching Style

I firmly believe that every mind works differently. There is no one-size-fits-all explanation for complicated concepts and new ideas. I am committed to understanding each students’ individual learning style and working from that understanding to empower young learners even while addressing skills that might need improvement.
