I graduated from New York University with a degree in Theater Arts and Dramatic Literature. I also speak German and translate German to English for theater, opera and film. I perform narration in German and English for audio books, films, and interactive video games.
My Teaching Experience
My career as an actress expanded into education, as I became the Co-Director of Arts Education Outreach for The Antaeus Company, designing and implementing programs in Los Angeles schools. I also worked with the Literacy Now program of the Los Angeles Children’s Museum. I further broadened the scope of my work to include academic tutoring in classes, small groups, and one-on-one in all language arts areas. Part of my tutoring practice includes working with students with particular learning, attention and emotional needs.
My Teaching Style
I tell my students that I am a “word-geek”; I love words and language. I see that my job as a tutor includes being a mentor and education advocate. I’m passionate about education, about enjoyment in discovery, and about helping students build their self-confidence and reach their goals.
