I am originally from the Washington D.C. area, but have been living in Los Angeles since graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2010. I obtained my CA K-8 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State LA and have been teaching since 2012. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling as often as possible and spending time with friends, family, and my dog!
My Teaching Experience
I have been teaching in private schools in the LA area since 2012 and am currently the junior high Social Studies & Literature teacher at St. Bernard School. In addition to my classroom experience, I have experience tutoring elementary children in a variety of academic subjects, time management and organizational techniques, and study skills. In the past, I have worked with students who attend The Center for Early Education, Brentwood School, Windward School, Hillel Hebrew Academy and Milken.
My Teaching Style
My strengths as a teacher lie in my passion for education and my ability to understand my students’ needs and develop an individualized approach to instruction that will ensure success. I am well versed in Common Core (ELA and Math), as well as a variety of online supplemental programs that can be used to enhance learning and retention.
