I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Film Production. I continued my education with an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business, focusing on Marketing, Entertainment, and Entrepreneurship. Since grammar is one of my nerdy passions, I still love watching Schoolhouse Rock! and singing along with “Conjunction Junction” and “A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing.” Outside of the world of academia, my interests lean toward entertainment and fitness, often both at the same time. I like to listen to comedy podcasts like The Jackie and Laurie Show and Friends Like Us, while doing an Insanity workout or practicing yoga. I am also currently writing my third novel.
My Teaching Experience
During my MBA program at the University of Southern California, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level course in Professional Development for Leaders. I have also conducted SAT, ACT, and University Admissions classes at charter high schools in the Greater Los Angeles Area. My students–who hail from 5 continents around the world–have been accepted to top colleges and universities, medical schools, business schools, and other graduate programs, including Auburn, Berkeley, Brown, Chicago, Indiana, MIT, Notre Dame, UCLA, and UT Austin.
My Teaching Style
I like to help students see their exam as one portion of their overall graduate level or university application and reduce their anxiety by showing them a path to success. My students have gone on to surprise themselves at how much they can achieve in a short amount of time with commitment, confidence, and focus.
