I was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and listening to music. My tastes are all over the place but mainly oscillate between hip-hop and classical music.
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I’ve been teaching since I was an undergraduate – about 12 years now. I’ve TA’d at Michigan State University and been full instructor for courses at Central Michigan University and the University of Notre Dame. I also worked briefly for Sylvan Learning and am currently a visiting professor at UCLA. I’ve taught virtually all levels of mathematics to all ages of students.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I treat teaching like a conversation. I do my best to pinpoint exactly what my students’ struggles are and adjust my teaching accordingly. Students have said that I am concise, clear, and engaging. Mostly, I just try to have fun with it.
