I began my journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying Aerospace Engineering. Within a year, I realized my true passion rested in not only advancing my own life goals, but helping others reach theirs as well. From here, I decided to blend Education and Psychology with my technical studies, and graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in Mathematics while simultaneously becoming a certified Teacher through the University of Arizona. Outside of work, I am very active, and spend my time training for marathons, swimming, composing music, acting, and studying martial arts.

I have taught and tutored K-12 and college students from a vast array of cultural backgrounds and learning situations, including “at-risk”, gifted, ESL students, and students with learning differences.

I make it a point to translate my creativity and energy into everything I do, especially in my teaching style. I believe that Math is a language, and is most effectively internalized when taught in a way that allows the student to see how it communicates and interacts with real world phenomena relevant to the individual.
