I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics before moving to Southern California to compete an MS in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. I am passionate about learning and participating in the discovery process with others. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors and listening to podcasts.
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have a breadth of experience working with K-12 and college students to overcome conceptual and technical challenges in math and science (biology, chemistry, and physics). I also specialize in K-12 standardized tests such as ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, SAT, ACT, and CHSPE. My students improve by an average of 150-200 points on the SAT and 2-3 stanine points on the ISEE.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I seek to provide my subject-matter expertise as an active listener, encouraging student-led inquiry and critical thinking through constructive dialogue.
