I’m originally from the Bay Area and have always enjoyed STEM subjects. This interest led me to earn my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and initially pursue a path in medicine. As my interests evolved, I decided to explore a different direction and am now pursuing a master’s degree to further develop my technical skills and knowledge. Outside of tutoring and studying, I enjoy crocheting, playing volleyball, exploring the outdoors, and taking dance classes.
ABOUT ME
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have several years of experience working with students through one-on-one tutoring and small-group instruction with organizations such as School on Wheels and Reading Partners. I’ve also mentored college students in STEM and pre-med courses. My experience covers a range of subjects as well as executive functioning skills. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into smaller, more manageable steps and adapting my approach based on what each student needs. My goal is to help students understand the material while also building their confidence along the way.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student. I recognize that everyone learns differently, so I adjust my approach to their individual learning style, pace, and goals. In addition to helping students understand challenging material, I incorporate practical strategies for organization, time management, studying, and executive functioning when needed. I want students to leave sessions with not only a better understanding of the subject, but also the tools and confidence to approach future challenges more independently.
