ABOUT ME

I’m originally from Bulgaria and now based in Los Angeles. I studied Economics and Film Studies at UC Berkeley, and outside of tutoring I work as an actress and filmmaker. I’m also a co-founder of a deep tech startup working on industrial heat solutions in Europe. When I’m not on set or in the writers’ room, I’m usually reading scripts, working on a screenplay, or learning something new about a completely different field (right now, nuclear energy).

MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I co-founded Volunteachable in high school, a platform connecting student volunteers with children abroad for English lessons, which gave me early, hands-on experience adapting my teaching style to different learners’ needs. My tutoring strengths run from elementary math through Algebra II, and I focus on breaking concepts down in a way that builds real confidence, not just quick answers. I’ve worked with students who struggle with the subject itself and students who mainly need help staying motivated and organized and I enjoy meeting each of them where they are.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to build a real rapport with my students so they feel comfortable and open with me, while still making sure we stay focused on the work at hand. I strike a good balance between being personable and keeping things on track. I’m patient and adaptable, and I adjust my approach depending on what each student responds to best.
