ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Pasadena, California and graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s in Politics. After graduating, I spent time living in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Paris, and Chile. Besides tutoring, I am also a working actor, writer and director and filmmaker. In my free time, I love staying active with running, rock climbing, hiking, and backpacking, and have backpacked 500 miles of the Appalachian trail!

MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been tutoring the SAT/ACT for over 10 years and have worked with students to help them get into the most elite colleges. I have completed training with multiple tutoring companies, helping me soak up the best strategies for improving student outcomes. I’ve had students improve over 150 points per section on the SAT and over 10 points per section on the ACT. I have extensive experience with all sections of the SAT and ACT, and also tutoring Academic Math from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I treat students like individuals, tailoring my approach to their unique needs, with insights from my years of experience. My goal is not only to help students improve their scores and move more efficiently through the test, but also to build their confidence and sense of accomplishment as they see their hard work pay off. With an approach of encouragement and empowerment, I work with students to build their self-reliance, engaging student with questions about their methodology so that they have a deep understanding of the material. I let students take time exploring problems before intervening, providing enough guidance to help them get to the next step but allowing them to take the lead on problem-solving.
