I’m an L.A. native with a diverse background of professional experience. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in radio as a writer/producer for 14 years, and I also played in a band that released 2 albums and toured the U.S. and Europe. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and daughter – camping, watching movies and sports (Go Irish!), and listening to music. I also enjoy playing guitar, songwriting, reading historical fiction, and learning more about many different subjects that interest me.
ABOUT ME
MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Since 2011, I have taught and tutored many students of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, and in a variety of academic subjects. I currently teach 4th grade, and I’ve also worked as a STEAM lab instructor, developing engaging hands-on NGSS curriculum. I have been a successful SAT/ACT/HSPT standardized test prep instructor, helping hundreds of students all over Southern California become the first in their families to get into college.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love working with students of all ages, and I enjoy sharing my lifelong passion for learning with them. I believe it’s essential to create a positive learning environment where every student feels seen and heard and feels that it’s a safe place to make mistakes and learn from them. My goal is to develop a strong rapport with each student and make learning both fun and rewarding!
