ABOUT ME

I graduated with distinction and highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Psychology and Chemistry. I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a doctorate at UCLA. Because of my love of teaching, I am currently pursuing psychology research with the goal of becoming a professor. When I’m not tutoring or in the lab, I make time for hiking and traveling.

MY TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have always been passionate about the sciences and math (even ISEE, SAT and GRE test prep!) and am eager to use my knowledge to help students succeed. I have years of experience tutoring students ranging from 2nd through 12th grade with various organizations and have interned with my local school district in the Exceptional Children Department.

MY TEACHING STYLE

There are so many ways to approach a problem, and my goal is to go through different approaches until I find the method that works best for the student. Rather than having students memorize a technique, I want to review concepts and ensure that students are building a better understanding of the material. This way, students can master the topic and be poised for success in future classes.
